Storm Gray Sea

This imagery shows a negative tone towards the sea and a very positive tone towards man.  Everything in the ode shows how many is better than everything except death.  Man is over everything.  When this says the sea is “storm gray” it shows how boring it is compared to man.  Things that are boring are gray.
